St Peter’s had great fun celebrating Children’s book week in October.
Children from across the whole school had a chance to dress up as their favourite book character. Our children turned into Witches, Mr Men, Super Heroes, Princesses and many other characters for the day! We picked one winner from each class and these children received £5 book vouchers.
Congratulations to Nigel Cleaver-Jarman (Reception), Amy Wilde (Year 1) Isabelle Blois (Year 2), Ceinwyn Lock (Year 3) and Hollie Sully (Year 4).
Every class performed their Talk For Writing story in assembly and it was lovely to hear the children telling fantastic stories to all their friends from across the school.
As well as telling stories ourselves, children in Y2, Y3 and Y4 were able to listen to many stories by a storyteller. He took us to the four corners of the world, the jungle, into the clouds and we laughed at many funny things!
All children were also invited to participate in a book exchange. If you took part in this we hope you enjoy reading your new book.
