
Health week was
a great success with each class taking part in lots of different activities.
Workshops were held showing the children how to create a healthy breakfast,
a healthy lunchbox and a healthy snack. There was plenty of opportunity
for tasting! Each class made their own healthy snack ranging from
fruit kebabs, fruit smoothies to healthy sandwiches and fruit salads.
We tried lots of different forms of exercise-together with parents
we started each day with Wake & Shake in the playground. Every
class had an opportunity to use the dance mats in the school hall,
each class has been having an athletics lesson for the last 3 weeks
and we held our sponsored fun run/walk in Danesfield's track to raise
some money for new reading books.
On the Friday every child brought in a healthy snack to share with
their class mates and these included all sorts of fruit, vegetables,
dried fruit and nuts.
