We are already trying to reduce the power and amount of paper used at St Peter's and are recycling batteries, ink cartridges, cardboard, tins, glass, plastic milk cartons, paper and paper towels. All our fruit and vegetable waste from playtime goes into our compost bins. We have now had our 2 green cones installed by the
compost bins and all our cooked food and sandwich waste from lunchtime now goes into these. The sun, with the help of an additive at the beginning of use, helps to create bacteria which breaks the food down and it disappears into the ground.
